LEILA BOUCHEKOUK

"This site was developed, designed,  and edited by Leila Bouchekouk.  As Leila's teacher and adviser for over 2 school years, I am proud to continue to see her develop into a young person committed to her community, causes of social justice, feminism, the promotion of understanding around religion, and the mission of the United Nations Academic Impact.   Leila exhibits her beliefs through scholarship but moreover, action and leadership. Leila is a proud Algerian-American, Type 1 Diabetic, young woman, and agent of change. Leila is an award winning member of FBLA, The E-Team (a student driven service organization which hosts seminars to integrate technology into our East Stroudsburg Community), and Girl's Soccer."
-Michael Healey, UN ASPIRE advisor
Delegate and Web Designer to UN ASPIRE East Stroudsburg HS South Branch

"We all shined like stars on Malala Day. We didn’t shine spread out, like in the sky. But rather in a beautiful new constellation that seems to say as one, you can’t stop us."

-Leila Bouchekouk
