UN ASPIRE South Raises over $600 for the Malala Fund

May 31, 2016

UN ASPIRE South partnered with East Stroudsburg South High School's AP US Government class to raise $602.38 for the Malala Fund! Advisor and student, Mr. Michael Healey and Leila Bouchekouk created and lead the drive. Both were inspired by Malala long before this drive. Mr. Healey and Leila both participated in Malala Day back in 2012, which was Malala's first public appearance since being shot. Thankful to be able to pay forward what they learned from that day, the donation was made to help fund the education of girls worldwide through the projects conducted by the Malala Fund.

Rosemary Brown and David Parker, as well as Joe Sestak, who ran for the Democratic nominee for U.S. Senate...
